Not Just An Innocent Fracture

Nobody enjoys having dental work done. During check-ups, we are all very happy to hear the dentist say, “Let’s just watch that.” However, often prolonging treatment can lead to larger and more costly problems. Below are two examples of innocent looking fracture lines that were pathways for large decay. In both cases, by treating proactively we were able to remove the decay and restore with a conservative composite or bonded restoration. Sometimes “just watching it” is to just watch it get bigger and more expensive. Minimally invasive dentistry is always our goal at all our locations.
