Dental FAQs
What should I expect at my first visit?
As a new patient, you will fill out and sign our Registration and Medical History Form, Consent to Use Medical Information Form, and Office Polices Form (which can be found on the “Contact Us” page). Then you will have a comprehensive oral evaluation where the hygienist will take x-rays, check your gums and detect cavities, and the Doctor will do an exam. Afterwards, we will create a treatment plan specifically for you and schedule your cleaning.
How often should I visit the Dentist?
The best way to know how often each individual should visit the dentist is to have an exam. Many people visit the dentist every 6 months, while some people visit every 3 months. The Doctor and hygienist will determine the amount of time between cleanings needed.
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes, we accept most dental insurances, and recommend you call the office most convenient to you to find out if we are a participating provider for you plan. We will help you file all your claims so you can maximize your insurance benefits. We’re sorry, we do not participate with Medicaid.
Can I use an HSA or FSA?
Yes, you can. We support all health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA) for dental care. Both are alternatives to traditional health insurance plans that provide more control over how your healthcare dollars are spent.
- HSA — a tax-deductible savings account is usually paired with a high-deductible health insurance plan that charges a lower monthly premium but has a high deductible.
- FSA — a tax-free account you deposit money into to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses.
Do you offer financing for my dental work?
We accept CareCredit. CareCredit offers special financing and low monthly payment options, no up-front costs, and no-prepayment penalties so you can begin your dental treatment as soon as you’re ready. Apply today by clicking the CareCredit link at the bottom of the page.
What if I miss my appointment?
We serve many patients everyday and we have a very active waitlist. Our offices require 24 hours notice of cancelation so that we can accommodate our waitlisted patients. If you do not give us notice, we reserve the right to charge a fee after the 2nd broken appointment.
Do you offer a safe way to whiten teeth?
Yes, one of the options we offer for teeth whitening is the Zoom! Advanced Power Whitening System, our fastest and easiest option. Imagine, the white teeth you deserve in just one hour; safe, effective and long lasting. While other whitening systems can take weeks to months before you see results that may only be 1 to 5 shades lighter, Zoom! Power Whitening is completed in one hour with an average of 8 shades lighter. We also offer custom bleaching trays and more.
Who do I call if I need emergency dental work?
If the emergency is after hours you can call the office and the answering machine will give you the option to call an after hours emergency phone number that the Doctor on call will answer. If you are calling during business hours, call the office and we will accommodate you the best that we can!
