I had my first appointment here in January of 2026 after not going for way too long due to a traumatic experience. Dr. Kavanagh and team are INCREDIBLE! The girls at the front desk are always to kind and helpful! I haven’t had a bad hygienist either. Jean preformed my initial intake and cleaning and she is the sweetest and so incredible! I had some emergency and unexpected work that needed to be taken care of and they never once made me feel like it was my fault. Unfortunately that also means I’ve been in their office multiple times since my initial appointment! Dr. Kavanaugh is the best! He keeps in real but also take into account that you’re human! I cannot recommend CFD more! I refuse to go anywhere else. They’re perfect and incredible all around. No notes! More

I needed a cavity filled between two teeth and I have not had a cavity in decades. I envisioned a painful injection of novocain and the smell of burnt teeth..... I was so wrong. Dr. Kavanagh and his staff were so skilled. I was relaxed throughout the whole procedure and I never felt any pain or smelled anything at all. COMPLETELY SATISFIED! More

It was so comforting to find such a nice office and competent dentist to take the place of my retiring dentist! Dr Kavanaugh’s front office staff fit me in last minute for an emergency visit! Best experience I have ever had with a dentist! I had such a wonderful experience with this office. I needed a crown , and they ended up having to adjust my treatment plan—but everything was handled so smoothly and professionally.What really stood out to me was how completely pain-free the entire process was. I recently moved to the area and needed a new dentist, so I decided to try Columbia Family Dentistry. I have only had one visit, which included a cleaning, imaging and other diagnostic testing, but my first impression is extremely positive. The office staff was extremely nice and easy to deal with both on the phone and in person. The office itself really impressed me, as they make use of advanced imaging and cleaning technology that I honestly have never seen before. Moreover, they took the time to explain in detail what the different tests were and how to understand the results. Mikenzie did my cleaning, and she was incredibly thorough and likeable, and Dr. Kavanagh took the time to go over the results with me as well. In all, this was a really good experience, and I intend to stay with this practice for my dental needs going forward. More

I thought the hygienist was informative, explained a plan for my individual circumstances and was polite courteous and friendly. The equipment used to obtain images is state of the art. Dr. Kavanaugh was equally personable and had greater insight as to one particular issue I'm having that two previous dentists.
