I had my first appointment here in January of 2026 after not going for way too long due to a traumatic experience. Dr. Kavanagh and team are INCREDIBLE! The girls at the front desk are always to kind and helpful! I haven’t had a bad hygienist either. Jean preformed my initial intake and cleaning and she is the sweetest and so incredible! I had some emergency and unexpected work that needed to be taken care of and they never once made me feel like it was my fault. Unfortunately that also means I’ve been in their office multiple times since my initial appointment! Dr. Kavanaugh is the best! He keeps in real but also take into account that you’re human! I cannot recommend CFD more! I refuse to go anywhere else. They’re perfect and incredible all around. No notes! More

I recently moved to the area and needed a new dentist, so I decided to try Columbia Family Dentistry. I have only had one visit, which included a cleaning, imaging and other diagnostic testing, but my first impression is extremely positive. The office staff was extremely nice and easy to deal with both on the phone and in person. The office itself really impressed me, as they make use of advanced imaging and cleaning technology that I honestly have never seen before. Moreover, they took the time to explain in detail what the different tests were and how to understand the results. Mikenzie did my cleaning, and she was incredibly thorough and likeable, and Dr. Kavanagh took the time to go over the results with me as well. In all, this was a really good experience, and I intend to stay with this practice for my dental needs going forward. More

It's been hard finding good dental care, with a terrific atmosphere...that also happens to take my insurance!They took me in today for an emergency and it was a same day appointment.Found out I had a failed root canal and I was sent to a specialist, who also accepts my insurance.I definitely felt that the doctor went the extra mile to find a specialist that takes my very limiting insurance. Dentists are scary, but this place isn’t. Everyone from the dentists, dental assistants, right down the counter staff is positive and supportive. I have never felt so welcomed by such personable, non judgemental people in a clinical environment. These people care about YOU. Go here if especially if you’re anxious about the dentist or people in general. More
